In 2008, Dr. Michelle was offered a once in a lifetime opportunity: to become a pediatric dentist for the hospital she was born in, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, join the Cedars-Sinai Pediatric Surgical team, and open up a Pediatric Dental Office right in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Office Towers. She knew that the office she wanted to open should be one that all LA families would appreciate: a totally custom rockin’ pedaitric dental office where the patients and their parents feel like they’re at home and love coming to hang out, while educating them on preventative medicine and providing the highest level of health care!
Her record collection (from her NYC spinning and record playing days) was hung on the walls for the kids to sign, her guitars were placed in the “rock star hall of fame” (also for kids to sign), the floors were designed with custom glitter tile, the chairs were upholstered in an MTV auto body shop with the most incredible glitter vinyl, the walls were all painted her favorite color, purple, with rock star decals, and she even had custom purple lab coats made!
Since 2008, the chalkboard paint keeps changing as does the graffiti art on the walls (from local young artists with a dose of Supreme). With good music playing, our Doterra essential oil therapy on, and great books, magazines, toys, and chalkboard art to play with, patients always say that “they just love hanging out.”
More importantly, the treatment rooms are designed for all of our patients, from infants to children, to teens, and with special accommodations as needed for our special needs patients. Treatment is always individualized and patient care centered. Team Pediatric Dental Center (PDC) work together to give your child exceptional quality treatment from the time you walk in for your initial visit.
Note: To reduce our carbon footprint, all of our dental equipment and supplies minimize toxic pollution and water waste. Biodegradable sterilization solutions are used to clean examination areas and our play areas. All of our dental technology is state-of-the-art from our intra-oral cameras to our digital radiograph machines.
